They are everywhere. Cell phones have become a major part of the American culture and that trend is seeping into the youngest generations as well. A recent study from the Pew Internet and American Life Project reports that around 75 percent of 12- to 17-year-olds own a mobile device. In 2004, less than half of that age group owned phones.
