Partner Responsibilities
Partners share community impact with minimal administrative burden.
- Share our program flyer with youth
- Refer interested youth in need via a simple one-page online form
- Optional participation in providing job shadowing opportunities, mock interviews, and/or internships

How does the VISIONS Program Make an Impact?
The VISIONS Employment Readiness Program has been very successful. This program transforms young people who are at risk of long-term unemployment or unhealthy behaviors into job-ready employees with marketable skills.

Why is the VISIONS Program Needed?
Young people who leave school early are up to 4X more likely to:
- rely on government assistance
- experience unemployment
- become involved with the justice system
- experience poor health outcomes
What does the VISIONS Program Do?
The purpose of the Visions Program is to increase the employability of out-of-school youth who face life challenges by providing work readiness training and support services. Our mission is to help young people become responsible self-sufficient members of our community!
Who We Serve
- youth ages 16 to 24
- out of school
- low income
- Somerset County residents
- face one or more barriers to employment
What Participants Receive
- 8 job readiness courses
- 4 hours of community service
- 1 workforce credential
- 20-hour internship
- 1 mock interview
- $5000 for continued workforce training
Eligibility Expansion
NEW! We are now piloting an expansion of VISIONS eligibility to include a limited number of low income students who are currently enrolled in school, but who could benefit from additional help with career exploration, job readiness skills, and planning for their next steps. To be eligible, students must be low income and must have at least one documented barrier to employment. Limited spots are available.
