Middle Earth is a nonprofit working to help every young person prepare for a self-sufficient adulthood.

VISIONS is one of our most successful employment readiness programs, and we are always accepting referrals. The purpose of the VISIONS Program is to increase the employability of out-of-school youth who face life challenges by providing work readiness training and support services.

Who We Serve

Eligibility for the VISIONS program is for youth that are:

  • ages 16 to 24
  • out of school
  • low income
  • residents of either Somerset and Hunterdon
    County in New Jersey
  • face one or more barriers to
    employment or difficult life circumstances

What Participants Receive

Program youth are paid a stipend for their participation in instruction time. Youth are also provided with support services to help them manage any challenges they are facing. The program offers:

  • 8 job readiness courses
  • 4 hours of community service
  • 1 workforce credential
  • 20-hour internship
  • 1 mock interview

Upon completion of the program, youth can potentially access up to $5000 towards additional school or training.
